The Nikon D3500 has a ‘Guide’ shooting mode that is a fully interactive guide built in. The functionality is straight forward and easy to use. The autofocus in Live View and movie capture are a bit slower than the higher end models. Overall, the Nikon D3500’s performance and image quality are exceptional for a camera in this price range.

The Fujifilm X-T200 is compact, but looks, feels and handles like a old-school 35mm SLR camera. The X-T200 has a big 3.5-inch touchscreen perfectly suited for video.

Not the cheapest DSLR by any means, but it’s worth paying a little extra money for more features. The EOS Rebel SL3 has Canon’s top-of-the range crop sensor with 24.1MP of resolution.

The new Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV has plenty of features. The Mark IV is poised to be the new favorite entry-level camera that can do almost everything.

The Canon EOS M50 is an easy to use camera which is really versatile, and it’s a wonderful mirrorless alternative to the Canon Rebel SL3.

the A6400 is still one of Sony’s best entry-level cameras. This Sony is one we use in the studio as a backup for our professional gear. Ease of use and quality of images makes this one of our favorites.
